Command and Control Systems
Raytheon Virtual Technology Corporation (Raytheon VTC) is leading the development and support of advanced Joint and Combined network-centric Command and Control (C2) applications that are tailored to meet emerging warfighter requirements. The Joint Warfighter Solutions Group develops, fields, and maintains advanced Joint and Combined network-centric C2 applications. A major thrust of this effort is to provide life-cycle support to the Joint Automated Deep Operations Coordination System (JADOCS) that is fielded to over 5,000 users throughout the Services, Coalition partners, and other DoD and non-DoD organizations.
Our Joint C2 (JC2) efforts focus on Joint and Combined Fires/Effects, Enhanced Battlespace Situational Awareness, and Special Mission Coordination:

JADOCS
"To the warfighter, JADOCS has become a critical 'go to war' planning and execution tool. It is presently being used in OEF and OIF by the COCOMs, Army, Air Force, Marines, Navy, Special Operations Forces, and Coalition Forces at multiple levels."
-- JPSD Program Office
While originally developed to reduce the sensor-to-shooter timeline for time-critical strikes, JADOCS has evolved into a comprehensive JC2 tool, providing horizontal and vertical integration, Joint system interoperability, and improved situational awareness across the military decision-making process. JADOCS has enabled dramatic improvements in the sensor-to-shooter timeline, elimination of friendly fire incidence, and unprecedented improvements in Time-Sensitive Target (TST) prosecution effectiveness. JADOCS enables the Joint Force Commander, Component Commanders, and supporting tactical-level forces to conduct operational and tactical-level Fires across the entire engagement spectrum, from planning to execution, for pre-planned and TST, and has proven invaluable in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. Commander U.S. Forces Korea (USFK) stated, "If ADOCS were to become an established and supported Joint system of record, USFK and CFC theater readiness would be immensely enhanced."
JADOCS interfaces with other tactical systems: Global Command and Control System (GCCS), Naval Fires Control System (NFCS), Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data System (AFATDS), All-Source Analysis System-Remote Workstation (ASAS-RWS), Maneuver Control System (MCS), Theater Battle Management Core System (TBMCS), and intelligence and imagery servers. JADOCS evolved from a Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) technology demonstrator, to sponsorship in a series of Army-led Joint Advanced Concept Technology Demonstrations (ACTDs), to a deployed operational capability. JADOCS is truly a 'born Joint' system, which provides interoperability and integration of over 20 Service-specific systems. There are tremendous opportunities in the Joint Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) realm, and JADOCS is providing critical capabilities in this area.
Raytheon VTC has participated in the support of this program with a growing set of highly qualified Field Service Engineers (FSEs) working within Combatant Commander (COCOM) staffs and in support of important military exercises. Raytheon VTC now has FSEs deployed in Iraq, Afghanistan, Korea, Germany, Hawaii, and various CONUS sites. Raytheon VTC engineers also regularly support exercises and related military operations. More broadly, Raytheon VTC is working to support DoD objectives for interoperability, interdependence, and transformation to enterprise systems. Raytheon VTC brings the right combination of software engineering, enterprise architecture, interoperability, and operational insight to maximize the effectiveness of Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I) systems.
Our JADOCS experience and technology puts Raytheon VTC in a strong position to capitalize on the significant opportunities within the military for programs such as JC2, which is slated to be the principal DoD C2 system in the future. Similarly, the capabilities that JADOCS provides have direct application to the Global War on Terror (GWOT) and Homeland Defense initiatives. JADOCS is already being used at the National Command Authority, across the military services, and in key civilian agencies for GWOT prosecution. Last year JADOCS deployed in support of Tsunami relief efforts that will lead to enhancements in Humanitarian Assistance/Disaster Relief synchronization/coordination capabilities. Internationally, there are a myriad of requirements for similar capabilities, many with requirements to be interoperable with the U.S. Raytheon VTC has recently supported the Foreign Military Sale (FMS) sale of JADOCS to the Republic of Korea and has pending sales to the U.K. and Australia.
aytheon VTC is working to support DoD objectives for interoperability, interdependence, and transformation to enterprise systems. Raytheon VTC brings the right combination of software engineering, enterprise architecture, interoperability, and operational insight to maximize the effectiveness of C4I systems.
