Joint Warfighter Solutions (JWS)

Raytheon Virtual Technology Corporation (Raytheon VTC) seeks out hard problems and provides real solutions. We have a driving passion for solving the most difficult problems and providing useful and practical solutions that contribute to pressing national defense issues. When our customers are faced with new and emerging challenges, we want them to say "Call Raytheon VTC. I know they can solve this problem!"

During Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) and Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF), it became apparent to Joint Force Commanders that there was a vital need to reduce the sensor-to-shooter timeline for time-critical strikes. A series of Army-led Joint Advanced Concept Technology Demonstrations (ACTDs) were commissioned to rapidly field an operational Command and Control (C2) capability to meet these and other operational challenges. Raytheon VTC supported the development of the Joint Automated Deep Operations Coordination System (JADOCS) from its inception into a comprehensive Joint C2 tool that provides horizontal and vertical integration, Joint system interoperability, and improved situational awareness across the military decision-making process while providing interoperability and integration of over 20 Service-specific operational systems.

This effort was particularly challenging because an initial capability was needed in the field ASAP. Many of the system's current capabilities were developed in response to warfighter requests for additional functionality while the system was in use in Afghanistan and Iraq. Raytheon VTC was able to support the development of those capabilities by deploying a set of highly qualified Field Service Engineers (FSEs) working within Combatant Commander (COCOM) staffs in the field. Through that effort, JADOCS has evolved to satisfy pivotal battlespace C2 requirements, including Joint and Combined Fires/Effects, Enhanced Battlespace Situational Awareness, and Special Mission Coordination. Raytheon VTC currently has FSEs deployed in Iraq, Afghanistan, Korea, Germany, Hawaii, and various CONUS sites. Raytheon VTC engineers also regularly support exercises and related military operations.

The following quotes capture the significance of Raytheon VTC's support for this challenging effort:
"I want to take this opportunity to thank you for the magnificent manner in which your company has contributed ADOCS engineering support to our Joint and Coalition warfighters in theater. Your presence and support actions truly make a difference. Furthermore, the day-to-day administration and support of [ADOCS] that your folks provide are pivotal to the continuing success of DoD's operations in Iraq. Thanks for the selfless work and heroic efforts of your people!!"

"To the warfighter, JADOCS has become a critical go to war planning and execution tool. It is presently being used in OEF and OIF by the COCOMs, Army, Air Force, Marines, Navy, Special Operations Forces, and Coalition Forces at multiple levels."
